Conclusion of Project June 2019

Zakończenie Czerwca Projektowego 2019

On Friday, June 28, we officially concluded Project June 2019.

To summarize: within the framework of Project June, we organized approximately 40 events significant for the development of design arts across 4 provinces. Around 6,000 people—artists, designers, and enthusiasts of applied arts—participated in these events.

Organized for the past five years on the initiative of Dobroteka, the promotional campaigns under the name Silesian Project June have established their value to such an extent that this year institutions from Małopolska joined our group, and the campaign adopted the name Project June. We had the pleasure of promoting the activities of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, the Design Department of the Pedagogical University of Krakow (named after the Commission of National Education), and the Forum Design in Krakow. For this reason, we also moved the outdoor activities of sculptors to Krakow and organized the Festival of Sculptural Utility Forms.

The sculptors worked in the garden space of Galeria Tetmajera 83 in Krakow. Everyone could admire their work. Throughout the summer, an exhibition featuring nearly 30 objects created during this year's Plein Air and previous editions is available at the Gallery.

Along with the concluding Plein Air and the opening of the exhibition of sculptural utility forms, we ceremoniously ended Project June 2019. An interesting event was the presentation of the design concept for the Tetmajera 83 building in Krakow by its author, architect Romuald Loegler.
