Dobroteka representatives visit Eindhoven, the Netherlands

October is full of design-related events, not only in Poland – the Łódź Design Festival – but also in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where Dutch Design Week takes place.
This event is very similar to the one in Łódź, but with deeper traditions and realized on a larger scale.
Dobroteka sees its future in art education, with a particular emphasis on industrial design, which is why we had to be in Eindhoven.
A group organized by Dobroteka, representing local educational institutions and public administration, traveled from Dobrodzień.
In Eindhoven, we spent time visiting the exhibitions organized for the occasion, attended lectures, and visited open design studios.
We were very pleased with the openness of the Dutch to international contacts.
This trip made us realize how many areas design can encompass. It's not just about product design; it's also about lifestyle.
Design in Eindhoven clearly emphasized its connection with ecology, a healthy lifestyle, and the natural products that surround us and which we should respect.
It often refers to traditional techniques and technological solutions, and of course, to natural materials.
An important element of the exhibition was the presentation of this year's diploma projects at the Design Academy, where the Polish group was guided by the renowned European trend watcher Zuzanna Skalska.
“The trip made us realize that our search for Dobroteka's development is heading in the right direction, and we can be an important part of the pan-European trend promoting design,” – Jan Cegiełka, Creative Director, Dobroteka
