Good Designer Week

The Designer's Good Week workshops have become a permanent fixture in the trade fair schedule.

Monday, September 2nd, marked the beginning of a very intensive week at Dobroteka – the Designer's Good Week workshops. Invited designers, graduates, and students from art universities in Krakow, Katowice, Wroclaw, and Poznan met with manufacturers exhibiting at Dobroteka in the Dobroteka conference room.

Based on the furniture exhibitions, the young participants were able to familiarize themselves with the technologies and product ranges they would encounter during the workshops. Following a draw, each manufacturer began working with two designers. They briefly outlined their needs and invited them to visit the production workshops to give participants a closer look at the realities of production.

On Tuesday, Kler, Halupczok, Meblonowak, and Karliczek met with designers at their own production facilities to present their manufacturing capabilities. Initial discussions on design concepts took place even at this stage. Later that day, designers worked on visualizations of their concepts at Dobroteka until late in the evening.
