Invitation to the Leisure Vision Gala
On Tuesday, November 28, at 1:30 PM, we invite you to Dobroteka for the Vision of Leisure competition Gala.
The competition, announced by the Piotr Kler Foundation, was carried out in two stages by Dobroteka. This year, the competition was held under the slogan "Creative Home."
The ultimate goal of the competition is to create and implement new furniture collections for the DO_M furniture brand. The brand relies on young, Polish designers and regional furniture manufacturers, and is aimed at users who appreciate simple, functional, and easily reconfigurable furniture.
The first stage was open, targeting designers, architects, and students of design faculties. The task was to develop a product and present it in a computer-generated interior arrangement. In June, a 7-person jury consisting of arch. Ewa Kuryłowicz representing the Main Board of the Association of Polish Architects, arch. Romuald Loegler representing Architektura i Biznes Publishing House, arch. Witold Szymanik President of WSC Graphisoft Poland, Piotr Kler Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KLER S.A., Magdalena Kiełkiewicz from Colorofon company, Ewa Gołębiowska Director of Cieszyn Castle, and Katarzyna Pełka – Bura from Wzorro Design, evaluated the projects submitted from all over Poland and awarded material prizes funded by WSC Graphisoft Poland.
In September, the laureates were invited to the Good Designer's Week workshops, where they worked with furniture manufacturers to develop new designs. The week-long stay in Dobrodzień concluded with a working exhibition of furniture prototypes. Six laureates and companies such as Sit Sit, Meble Jonczyk, and Kler participated in the workshops. The week-long collaboration allowed designers to familiarize themselves with and creatively utilize the technologies available to manufacturers. The conceptual work and furniture prototypes created during the workshops were evaluated by the same jury as in the first stage. This time, cash prizes were awarded, funded by Kler S.A.
We will learn the jury's verdict on November 28 at 1:30 PM in Dobroteka, at the Gala organized for this occasion, which will be graced by live music performed by Rorat duo. On this day, Dobroteka will host a unique "designers' forum," and in our Gallery, we will open the latest exhibition from the University of Arts in Poznań. The 16th Educational and Design Program is titled "nastolatki_teenagers" and is dedicated to developing furniture collections for youth rooms. A large representation from the University of Arts in Poznań, including the pioneer of university-manufacturer cooperation – Prof. Katarzyna Laskowska, has announced their attendance at the vernissage.
On this day, we also want to encourage food product manufacturers from Olesno County to pay attention to the aesthetics of serving and presenting their products. For this purpose, we are organizing a seminar with the participation of Prof. Katarzyna Laskowska, students from Poznań, and members of the "Olesno basket."
