Dobroteka exhibition at Rondo Sztuki in Katowice

The EXHIBITION presents the results of the week-long "Good Designer's Week" workshops, organized by Dobroteka at the turn of August and September 2012. The workshops resulted in 4 prototypes realized in our partners' facilities. The exhibition also showcases original works by workshop participants and "Good Week" guests.

The DESIGN SHOWCASE project involves utilizing previously unused display window space at the Rondo Sztuki gallery in Katowice. By using the space visible from outside the building, it is possible to view the exhibition at any time of day. The idea is based on presenting design in a broad sense – products and graphic design. The essence of the exhibition is a detailed description – the history of the creation of the presented objects and information about the designers or companies that created a given product.
Companies and designers whose products are widely available and constitute everyday elements of our surroundings, "things close to people," are invited to the DESIGN SHOWCASE. Such a selective presentation of projects aims to break the widely held opinion that design is luxury items available only to a select few, thus educating society in the field of design.

At the same time, during the vernissage at Rondo Sztuki, it will be possible to see an exhibition of works intended for the 2nd Auction of Young Art in Katowice, organized by DESSA UNICUM, as well as a photography exhibition by Ryszard Czernow titled "The World of Bricks."
