Exhibition opening: Material LAB by students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice

Dobroteka full of young art – opening of the Material LAB exhibition by students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice
On Wednesday, June 18, an vernissage took place in the Dobroteka spaces that will long remain in the memory of design and applied art enthusiasts. The Materiał LAB exhibition, created by students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, inaugurated a summer full of inspiration – both for young design adepts and for Dobroteka guests who appreciate creativity that goes beyond the conventional.
The young artists invited us on a journey into the world of creative experimentation, sensitivity to detail, and bold dialogue with matter. Their works are not just objects – they are well-thought-out concepts that combine function, form, and emotion. The Materiał LAB exhibition becomes a kind of laboratory of design thinking, where the creative process is as important as the final effect.
For the students who had the opportunity to participate in the vernissage, it was not only a lesson in aesthetics but also an open encounter with the idea that design is applied art, but also a tool for reflection, observation, and courage. Such initiatives confirm that Dobroteka – beyond its role as an exclusive interior gallery – also fulfills an important culture-forming and educational function.
The Materiał LAB exhibition can be viewed at Dobroteka until August 11. We encourage you to visit and immerse yourself in a world of fresh ideas, youthful energy, and creativity that inspires for a long time.
