Design Workshops at Dobroteka

This question will be addressed by participants of the workshop entitled "Design of furniture accessories or luxury marketing items from leather production waste," which will take place from March 11-13, 2014, at Dobroteka. The workshops are organized by the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Kler company, and Dobroteka.

The aim of the workshops is to design marketable furniture accessories and marketing items for Kler company, as well as to familiarize students with the furniture company's production process and to conduct an intensive design process with the participation of its representatives. The workshop topic allows for the innovative utilization of the company's potential by using waste material.

Workshop program:
Day 1 – Tuesday, March 11:
9:30 AM - 10:00 AM – arrival of students at Dobroteka, welcome, and a brief tour,
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM – tour of the KLER factory, familiarization with the production process and leather production waste,
11:00 AM – 6:30 PM – return to Dobroteka, design phase
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM – meeting with company representatives to verify design ideas

Day 2 – Wednesday, March 12:
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM – incorporating feedback from company representatives, refining designs
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – prototyping (model sewing) in KLER's PROTOTYPE WORKSHOP
2:00 PM – 7:30 PM – making necessary design adjustments, preparing project presentations

Day 3 – Thursday, March 13:
7:00 AM – 1:00 PM – refining and finishing prototypes in KLER's PROTOTYPE WORKSHOP
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – preparing for project presentations
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – project presentations with discussion in the Dobroteka Auditorium

The presentation of the workshop results will take place during "Silesian Design June."
