Sculpture versus function

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Sculpture and Function", which will take place on Friday, November 15 at 1:00 PM at the Dobroteka Interior Gallery.
The exhibition is a collection of works by students of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, whose aim was to explore new sculptural potentials. All works were created between 2022-2024 under the supervision of Dr. Marek Ruszkiewicz from the Faculty of Sculpture and Art Mediation of the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts.
Young designers and artists will present an unconventional collection of sculptures who, drawing on centuries of art history experience, are still able to rediscover the unbridled enthusiasm for building three-dimensional forms.
The presented spatial solutions, often addressing aspects of sound, light, dynamics, or composition, become original stories about the boundaries of sculpture in the contemporary world. They often take the form of objects that are additionally supported by a layer of needs, intriguing in its ambiguity, going beyond aesthetics.
