Vision of Rest Contest
9th edition of the "Vision of Recreation" competition under the theme CREATIVE SPACE
The Piotr Kler Foundation announces the "Vision of Recreation IX" Competition for the best furniture design for a living room, along with its presentation in a computer-generated arrangement under the theme: CREATIVE SPACE, and the realization of furniture prototypes during workshops in cooperation with manufacturers. The competition aims to promote clever, mobile furniture concepts that allow users to individually shape their living room space.
The competition has been included in the series of initiatives of the Silesian Design June 2016.
The competition is open to: architects, designers, architectural and design studios, as well as architecture and design students.
The competition has two stages: the first stage involves developing a product concept and its visualization in a virtual interior, and the second stage involves cooperation with furniture manufacturers on a project assigned by the Organizer and the realization of prototypes during stationary workshops in Dobroteka.
The deadline for submitting design works is May 15, and the workshops are scheduled for September 1-8, 2016.
The winners of the first stage of the competition will receive prizes funded by WSC Graphisoft Center:
1st prize – ArchiCAD SE2016 and a STRIDA bicycle
2nd prize – Artlantis Studio software
3rd prize – Artlantis Render software
and five iPod Nano honorable mentions
The winners of the second stage of the competition will receive prizes funded by KLER S.A.:
Main prize – 9000 PLN for the team, and three honorable mentions of 2000 PLN for each team.
The Organizer's intention is to implement and commercialize the designs created in the Competition, and their authors can expect royalties from the sales success of these products.
