"Treasure Chest of Dreams" competition decided!

On May 23rd at 11:00 AM, Dobroteka hosted the ceremonial Gala announcing the winners of the "Szkatuła Marzeń" (Casket of Dreams) competition.
The competition was announced in October 2012, inviting junior high school students from the Opole, Silesian, and Lower Silesian voivodeships to participate. Its aim was to create a "casket of dreams."
23 caskets were submitted from junior high schools in Jaworzno, Rybnik, Niechlów, Nędza, and Dobrodzień. 9 of them qualified for the final. The competition jury distinguished 3 works: one created by the team of Agata Stodoła, Ilona Thomas, and Natalia Pastuszko from the School Complex in Niechlów, the second by Sabina Skowronek from the Pope John Paul II Public Junior High School in Dobrodzień, and the third by Weronika Szczyra from Junior High School No. 13 named after John III Sobieski in Rybnik – Radziejów. A special distinction and a prize funded by the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice went to Justyna Skowronek from the Pope John Paul II Public Junior High School in Dobrodzień.
Following lively deliberations and voting on May 8, 2013, the winner was selected – Marek Koj from the Pope John Paul II Public Junior High School in Dobrodzień. The results were announced by the Deputy Mayor of Dobrodzień, Mr. Marek Witek.
All honorees received material prizes – a book and a Sit Sit bean bag chair. The winner received a book and a Kler brand Kler pouf seat from Piotr Kler.
The Gala was also an opportunity for young people to have individual conversations with city representatives, teachers, and entrepreneurs, including Piotr Kler – an entrepreneur who started his career at the same age as the current competition participants.
The event was enhanced by a performance by the band RedRow, consisting of students from Dobrodzień Junior High School and the Post-Secondary School Complex, as well as sweet refreshments prepared by Dobroteka's Dobre Bistro.
