"Frolics on a Branch" Art Competition

On behalf of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole and Dobroteka, we invite the youngest artists to participate in an extraordinary art competition that opens up a magical world of imagination and creativity for children. "Frolics on a Branch" is a unique challenge that will combine dreams and art, creating a space for crafting fascinating stories about trees.

The competition task involves creating a captivating story about a chosen tree. It can be a tree you know, one that is close to you, or an imagined one. Let it become a friendly place for spending free time and having fun, while also being a confidant for your most important emotions, joys, and worries. Time spent in a tree is unrestrained joy and true delight. Such a moment flows at a completely different pace. Create a fantastic tree to which you can invite representatives of the forest flora and fauna. Craft an amazing, illustrative story, the results of which will surprise us!

The competition is open to children aged 6-9 years.

Works can be created using any drawing and painting techniques, it is important that they are the result of the child's individual explorations and reflections.

Works should be in A3 format. They should then be delivered in person or sent by post by April 30, 2024, to the address: Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej, pl. Teatralny 12, 45-056 Opole, with the note ART COMPETITION "Frolics on a Branch".

The best works will be awarded and presented in exhibitions at Salon Lellek in Opole and Dobroteka in Dobrodzień.
