Dobroteka promoted Poland at the Bois & Habitat Fair in Namur, Belgium

For many years, Belgium has hosted a fair dedicated to wood and wood-based products – the Bois&Habitat Fair in Namur. This demonstrates the great interest of Belgian customers in products made from natural materials.
At this year's fair, the construction industry showcased the use of wood for structures and as decorative elements in construction. Furniture companies were also present, as were those involved in furniture conservation. The fair also featured sculptures, which are treated as unique and exceptional accents in a world dominated by mass-produced goods.
Dobroteka presented products from the category of functional sculpture at the fair, which were the result of the Sculpture Open-Air Workshop organized in Dobrodzień in 2014. Six entities from Poland exhibited at the stand organized by the Polish Embassy in Brussels, representing various industries that use wood to shape human surroundings. The functional sculptures presented by Dobroteka attracted great interest due to the authors' innovative approach to realizing wooden furniture concepts. They garnered admiration for the quality of workmanship and the craftsmanship in refining details. The stand was supported by employees of the Polish Embassy in Brussels, and Ambassador Artur Harazim visited it personally. One of the sculptures presented by Dobroteka aroused particular interest, to such an extent that it was requested to be displayed at the Polish Embassy in Brussels.
The exhibition at the Fair convinced us that sculpture as a functional object attracts interest, and the Sculpture Open-Air Workshop and its results can be a showcase not only for the Opole region but also for Poland worldwide. Therefore, this June, for the second time, we will hold a two-week open-air workshop for sculptors.
