Andrzej Kosowski PLAYS…

 

We cordially invite you to an exhibition by the Wrocław sculptor, whose opening will take place on April 4th at 2:00 PM in the Dobroteka exhibition gallery.

 

The idea behind the exhibition is to show the ambiguity of the concept of PLAY, which encompasses fun, movement, and sound. Part of the exhibition consists of interactive works, through which the author invites us to co-create and generate new situations. We will be able to play one-person chess, change the appearance of a sculpture by modifying its elements, and set cast-iron balls placed on a stone podium in motion.

 

The exhibition is also the author's commentary on the pandemic and Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

 

The exhibition will run until May 16, 2023.

 ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Dr. Andrzej Kosowski (born 1974) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Faculty of Painting and Sculpture. He completed his diploma with distinction in the sculpture studio of Professor Alojzy Gryt. He is a laureate of numerous awards and a participant in many individual and group exhibitions. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Sculpture Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
