- EDITION of the "Wizja Wypoczynku" competition, announced by the Piotr Kler Foundation.
For 12 years, the "Wizja Wypoczynku" competition tried to interest designers in interior design and furniture making. Hundreds of participants competed with each other, tackling various themes such as THE TREND HUNTER'S LIVING ROOM, PROVOCATIVE ELEGANCE, or THE DESIRED ELEMENT. Each edition had a different motto, but the competition always focused on interior furnishings. In recent years, its laureates have gained professional experience as furniture designers during the "Dobry Tydzień Projektanta" (Good Designer's Week) workshops at Dobroteka.
The current edition of the Competition returns to engaging participants with KLER's commercial offer. The task for the first stage will be to arrange an interior using KLER products. The competition will involve developing and visualizing an attractive interior arrangement. The Competition Jury: architects Ewa Kuryłowicz, Romuald Loegler, Witold Szymanik, Ewa Gołębiowska, Magda Kiełkiewicz, Katarzyna Pełka – Bura, and Piotr Kler, have been evaluating projects submitted by authors in this composition for years. The deadline for submitting entries in the 13th edition is the end of April 2020. A novelty of this Competition is the award for a "Mentor," meaning the supervisor of a student group that can implement projects as part of an educational program. Therefore, the first stage of the Competition will conclude with material prizes for designers, but there is also a possibility of awarding a monetary mentoring prize. Material prizes have been funded by WSC Graphisoft Poland, a distributor of software for designers, since the Competition's inception.
The laureates of this stage of the Competition will be invited in September 2020 to Dobrodzień for the "Dobry Tydzień Projektanta" workshops, where they will be able to realize their product visions in cooperation with furniture manufacturers. These efforts will be re-evaluated by the jurors and honored with monetary prizes funded by KLER S.A. We will meet again at the Awards Gala in November 2020.
